Last week a fatal three-car accident claimed the life of a 47-year old man. The man lost control of his vehicle while traveling westbound on Ohio 129 and crossed the median. He struck a Chevrolet Suburban. He was not wearing a seatbelt and died immediately of internal injuries after being ejected through the rear window of his Chevy Cavalier. After being struck, the Suburban went airborne and landed on the roof of a Toyota Sienna. The two women inside were not injured.
The accident remains under investigation, and it is likely that we will never know the cause of this fatal car accident. This accident fits a common pattern that causes numerous deaths on rural routes in Ohio. When one vehicle loses control, it can easily cross the median into oncoming traffic, causing deadly accidents.
